Treadmill Magnets

Safety switches (key components): This is the most common application on treadmills. A small ferrite magnet is usually embedded inside the safety lock. When the lock is inserted into the panel, the magnet triggers the internal reed switch or Hall element to turn on the circuit; when pulled out, the power is cut off immediately for braking — this is a mandatory safety design.

Dashboard damping: Some treadmill models use ferrite magnets in the display knob or incline adjustment mechanism to increase damping and improve operational feel.
